Q: Am I guaranteed to harvest a deer?

While no hunt is guaranteed, we DO guarantee that the giant buck are there. It's up to you to put them in the pickup. These mature deer are very intelligent and can be extremely good at teaching even the most seasoned hunters a completely new set of manners while in the woods. And like anywhere else, some days you see the deer, some days you won't. However keep in mind this is the golden triangle, the best whitetail hunting in the country.

Q: Are your hunts guided?

Our hunts are semi-guided - meaning that one of our guides will position you at your stand site. If you have not had any success after a few days, the guide will relocate you to a new location. No one is permitted to move their location without management's approval.

Q: Do I need my own stand?

We recommend bringing your own climbing stand. However, we do have ladder and some hang on stands already in place as well to comfortably accommodate you, and we mean comfortable.

If you prefer to use your own hang-on or ladder stand, you must put them up yourself a day prior to the day your hunt begins. We no longer hang them due to liability purposes.

Q: Is there a minimum size buck for harvest?

Our bucks must be at least 135" or greater gross B&C (minimum standard). If you do harvest a buck smaller than 130", you will be fined $500. We require all of our hunters to sign a small buck harvest waiver (agreement includes button bucks).

Q: Can I reserve a hunt date?

A deposit (your choice of 25 or 50%) is required to reserve your hunt dates. Remaining balance must be paid by the date you need to start applying for your permit.

Q: What if I don't get selected for a tag?

While Illinois does issue non-resident tags using a "lottery/draw" system, there are usually plenty of deer tags to go around. Don't worry about not being able to "draw" a tag - they usually have tags left over and are available over the counter by the time the season starts. We do suggest that you apply as early as possible, just so you have everything done for your hunt and you don't have to worry about any last minute details.

Q: Is my deposit refundable?

Your deposit is non-refundable if we fill your spot due to your remaining balance not being paid on time.

If providing you don't receive a permit, your deposit can only be refunded if you apply for your permit in proper means by Illinois DNR regulations. Proof of application process is required for refund.

Q: Can I pay my balance online?

Absolutely! Go to our Online Payment Page and follow the steps listed to pay any amount on your balance total. Be sure to check out our 6 month NO PAYMENT + NO INTEREST option on that page as well.

Q: Is financing available?

YES! You can now finance your dream hunt through PayPal® Credit and have NO PAYMENTS + NO INTEREST for 6 months!

Even if you decide to make smaller payments and do not pay the full balance within 6 months, you will still pay a smaller interest rate than most credit cards charge today. And you can apply during the checkout process for an instant decision. See our online payment page for more details.

Q: Is lodging included in my hunt price.

Lodging in our 22,000 square foot lodge is provided for all hunt packages.

Q: Are meals included in my hunt price?

Dinner meals are included in the price of some hunt packages. Please see the hunt description to see if dinner meals are included in a specific hunt.

Breakfast and lunch meals are not included. A spacious continental room is provided with ample refrigerator space for refrigerated items and plenty of shelf space for non-refrigerated items. Toasters, coffee makers, microwave, etc. are provided for your convenience.

Q: Are there nearby restaurants or stores?

Lodge is within 300 feet of two restaurants including a fun-filled pub called Mercer's on Main which features great food and a warm atmosphere.

There is also a well stocked convenience store right there in the middle of it all to accommodate you with other supplies you may need.

Q: What is there to do in the evening?

You can choose to relax in our lodge and enjoy our game room (Complete with billiards, dart board, and card table), watch some tv, roast marshmallows over our outdoor fire ring, or go over to Mercer's on Main and bowl a few games.

Or you can spend some time sending all of your buddies pictures of your new trophy whitetail!

Q: What items are not provided?

A sleeping bag and pillow, bath towels, soap & shampoo, personal toiletry items (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc), breakfast and lunch meals (dinner meals provided in some hunt packages).

Q: Are your hunts/lodge handicap accessible?

We will do everything we can to make sure ALL hunters have an enjoyable hunting experience. We have hunting locations which are handicap accessible and our lodge is 100% handicap accessible including a wheelchair accessible shower.

Q: How can I pay for my hunt?

Our secure online booking system uses Paypal® to process your payment. You DO NOT have to have a Paypal® account to use this system. Payments can be made by most debit and credit cards through this system. We also accept Paypal® Credit, which is available to apply for during the checkout process when paying through a Paypal® account. The Paypal® Credit option is not available if you choose "Pay with Credit Card" on the main payment screen. View our Online Payment Page for more information.
